Langland Bay GC Guidelines - Page 2

In line with Government Guidlines
Monday 18th May 2020
Golf makes a welcome return to
Langland Bay Golf Club
The main priority above anything else, is the safety of our members and staff, as well as ensuring that
Golf at Langland Bay is operating in a manner which is in line with the supporting documents set out by
the R&A, PGA, Wales Golf and British Government.
Every Golfer should be guided by the message of - Play Safe, Stay Safe.
This document has been produced to provide members with an overview of what a return to golf will
look like at our club. It is expected that the guidelines laid out will change as time progresses and as
such, updated versions of this e-document will be updated by us and you will not have to re-download it.
(The same principle as the eDiary for fixtures and competitions.)
With golf courses shut since 24th March, we understand that you will be eager to get back to the club
and start playing. With this in mind and to create as much opportunity as possible for all of our members
to play, we will be implementing the following access for all policy as part of the reopening plan. Please
remember, that it is now ONLY YOU who will close our course if these rules are not adhered too. We will
be having inspections and we must not break or bend any of the rules or policies laid out.
• Tee times will be for one balls only, or a 2 balls of the same household.
• Members can only book to play 3 times in any 7 day period. However, if on a day of play there is a free
tee time, then you may ring the Shop or Office on the day and we will book you that time to save it from
being unused. Members are NOT allowed to turn up and play as there are NO Members Free Times at
the moment.
• There will be no Pay and Play allowed in the initial reopening of the club to ensure maximum
opportunity for members to play.
• Only players on the tee sheet should be present at the club.
• All golf will initially be played on a social golf basis only.
• Tee times are available between 0730 – 1800, seven days a week. NO PLAY will be allowed after the
latest time on the BRS booking system.
• The tee sheet will open for bookings from 0700 and will allow members the opportunity to book up to
7 days in advance.
• Members are asked to make all bookings through the BRS Golf system. For anyone who would prefer
to call or are having trouble making a booking, please contact the pro-shop or office.
• There will be some reserved tee times on the BRS screen that need to be booked through the pro-shop
or office for Front Line workers, to allow them to play when they are off.
• A member not cancelling a tee time that they cannot make, will have 1 warning, then a further breach
of this rule will result in a ban.
