HEDGEHOG TROLLEY WHEELS
When the NO TROLLEY sign is displayed, ONLY trolleys with Hedgehog wheels will
be permitted. These wheels are available on pull and electric trolleys.
Hedgehogs consist of a set of plastic studded wheel sleeves, which wrap around
and clip to almost any trolley. Parabolic studs roll over the ground, reducing
contact by 75 per-cent because only three studs are in contact with the turf at
any one time. They merely leave dimple marks instead of the unsightly wheel
tracks.
ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS POLICY
1. When visibility is reduced to dangerous levels, which would endanger
players and members of the public. If mist or fog is limiting visibility levels we
would encourage the common sense approach before course closure is finally
considered. This would include exercising some element of patience and also
visiting the “top holes” as well as assessing visibility from the 1st tee to the
green.
If the cliffs above the 5th green when looking from the clubhouse, and the 1st
green are not visible, then the course will closed by sounding the klaxon.
The course will be reopened by 3 bursts of the claxon when visibility improves.
2. When thunder and lightning is present.
3. Ground conditions - In heavy rain conditions when greens become flooded and
play is impracticable. Fairways are extremely wet and bunkers are flooded.
4. For Club shotgun starts.
RULE: When any of the above conditions prevail (except No 4) all players must exit
the course.
